This year Sensei Alex and Derick Vo were fortunate enough to participate in the 2014 ISKF master camp. Master camp allows advanced students from all over the world to learn from Japanese masters in the art of Shotokan karate. This camp consisted of a full 6 days of training 3 times a day, 2 hours per training, all culminating in a goodwill tournament on the 7th day. Aside from the rigorous training, Sensei and Derick got a chance to attend seminars on the philosophy of Karate, pick the brains of masters from places such as Africa and the Middle East, and try activities like canoeing, archery, and ping pong.
