Re-Opening Process

Based on our Governor’s decision, our dojo will re-open on Tuesday May 26th for in-person classes.

In-person classes fill follow strict rules listed below.

BEFORE ENTERING THE DOJO:

  • Screening questions before entering the dojo:
    1. Have you traveled internationally or been on a cruise in the last 14 days?
    2. Are you experiencing respiratory issues such as fever, cough, shortness of breath or flu-like symptoms?
    3. Have you had contact with someone who is confirmed or is under observation for COVID-19?

** If the answer of any of these questions is “YES”, please avoid coming to the dojo as you will not be allowed to participate in in-person classes. You can still participate in our virtual classes until your health is cleared by your doctor.

  • We are going to scan forehead temperature of everyone entering the dojo daily to monitor for fever
  • Everyone’s shoe soles are going to be sprayed with a non abrasive disinfectant

KARATE CLASSES:

  • The classes schedule is going to remain the same as online classes (5:00 - 5:45, 6:00 – 6:45, and 7:00 to 7:45). All classes are going to continue with the 45 minutes format, giving 15 minutes to let the ending class vacate the dojo, for the staff to clean and disinfect the dojo and to let the following class to safety enter the facility.

INSIDE THE DOJO:

To help keep everyone safe we have increased our cleaning and other hygiene procedures.

  • Every 48 hours, disinfecting the entire dojo using an electrostatic EnviroShield Fogger, with hospital grade EPA registered virucide #61178-1
  • We installed,  UV-C cleaner and germicidal lamps inside of each of the Air Conditioner ducts, those lamps are going to be turned on every 72 hours (overnight) to clean and disinfect the AC ducts
  • We also installed a UV-C cleaner and germicidal lamp, which are going to be turned on every night for 60 minutes
  • Cleaning all surfaces such as doorknobs and counter tops regularly (every 2 hours).
  • We will have all staff members wash their hands after every class and disinfect their hands after every contact with any student
  • There will be NO CONTACT training on the mat and 6 feet distance between students (Challenging)
  • We are strongly suggesting having only ONE parent per student inside the dojo. ALL PARENTS are required to wear a mask
  • Spectators watching must practice social distancing as well

We are dedicated to maintaining our Karate as a way of life, method of discipline, meditation, health, strength and flexibility training.

All of these things can be taught and practiced at a distance.

Our goal is to help you be your best!
